GRT: A green source for materials

At GRT we're in business because we solve a huge pain-point for our customers — an affordable home for their excess soils. But in doing so, we're actually providing a solution to a larger problem that's looming in the background: sustainable aggregate supply.

In our race to come up with solutions to mitigate rising CO2 and adapt to a changing climate (while keeping apace with a growing global population), it's easy to lose track of the raw materials that are required to support these efforts.

Admittedly, it's tough to imagine a world where dependable aggregate supply is more than a 'stone's throw' away (pun intended), especially here in the Pacific Northwest. But considered in the global context, and set against the backdrop of rising costs for extraction and transportation... the issue of aggregate sustainability comes a little more into focus.

What can you do? You can keep bringing us your waste soil, and buy GRT's clean, upcycled products the next time you need #sand#gravel, or #aggregates for your next building, green infrastructure project, nature-based solution or landscape design. (If you're in #calgary, check out Calgary Aggregate Recycling Inc. And if you're near New York, stop by Posillico Wash Plant)

And if you work for #government and you write RFPs, consider writing them to encourage recycled rock products whenever feasible.
